The Norwegian School of Management is the largest private institution to receive a business and Economics education in Norway. Founded in 1943, NSM has grown to be the second largest Business School in Europe with over 15,000 students. The NSM has been preparing young men and women to effectively work in managerial positions around the world. The NSM's future oriented approach to teaching has provided its students with the experience and knowledge that is required for success in the business community. The NSM has strong links to over 80 major enterprises in the trade and service industry, which will offer students exposure to specific fields of endeavor.
Location
The NSM is located 15 km from downtown Oslo, the capitol of Norway. The public transit service is superb and the city is easy to get around so students have the opportunity to visit all the sites and attractions that Norway is known for. Landmarks such as the Akershus Castle, which was built in 1300CE and was home to many historic events, is one of many sites for travelers to visit. You can enjoy the landscape and greenery of Vigeland Park or take in the culture of Munch Museum. Oslo is a fine example of European/Scandinavian culture. An exchange term at the NSM will be a truly educational and enjoyable experience.

Academic Information
Areas of concentration include: Economics, Finance, Innovation & Entrepeneurship, International Management, Marketing Organizational Psychology, Strategy, Logistics – Supply Chain & Networks, Information Technology Management and Business & Economic History.
Classes include lectures, class discussions, group work and individual assignments. The program offers special activities including the opportunity to participate in company consulting work and a weeklong study tour to another country.
Size of Classes/Features
The size of the classes will vary depending on the course and instructor. However, students can expect about 30-40 students in each class.
Language
Courses are available in English. Knowledge of Norwegian is not necessary to successfully travel around the city. Norwegian classes are available every semester free of charge.
Computer Facilities
The NSM acknowledges the importance of information technology and has accommodated students with 24 hour computer labs, which offer PC's and network Internet access.
Type/Availability of Accommodation
There is the possibility of renting accommodations at Anker Studentboliger (2-minute walk from school) or other arrangements can be made for renting accommodations in the surrounding area. Students are usually required to pay a deposit equal to 1-3 months' rent. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the rental period as long as the monthly rent has been paid as agreed and the premises are left in the same condition as they were found. Rent varies within the location however, it varies to approximately between NOK 3500 and NOK 6000 per month that must be paid in advance. Health Insurance
Students who are participating in the exchange and staying for more than 3 months must obtain health insurance from the Norwegian Social Security System. This insurance will cover their health care as it would any Norwegian citizen. Students who are staying less than three months must have health insurance before entering Norway.
