New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business is one of the nation's premier management education schools and research centers with top-ten positions in the most prestigious national and international business school rankings. At Stern, a culture of diversity is not only encouraged, it is embraced. NYU Stern is famous for it practical, hands-on approach to business education.
From its inception, the history of NYU Stern has mirrored that of the city to which it is so closely tied. NYU’s business school was founded over 100 years ago to provide unparalleled business training to the sons and daughters of immigrants. Today, the Leonard N. Stern School of Business is at the forefront of business education in America and the world.
A supportive community helps make Stern one of the world's leading business schools. Modern facilities and innovative programs of study have been a critical success factor in attracting the top talent – in both students and faculty – to Stern. New York City itself provides a "classroom" where the business, communication and cultural worlds collide to provide a truly dynamic learning environment.
Location
Stern's location, in the heart of Manhattan, allows a unique opportunity to learn in the business capital of the world, while taking advantage of New York's unparalleled offerings in the arts, entertainment, dining, shopping and recreation. As a Stern student, you will be a mere subway ride away from most of the city's finest attractions and some of the most unique attractions in the world..
The NYU campus is located in the heart of one of the city's most exciting, charming, and liveable neighbourhoods – edgy, bohemian Greenwich Village – with quaint, tree-lined streets and legendary nightlife. Today, although well known for its active nightlife, stylish cafes and trendy shops, Greenwich Village remains a cozy residential area filled with charming brownstones and row houses. Stern's culture of congeniality and collaboration blends well with the locale's small town feel. Even as times changed and the rest of New York City grew upward, "The Village" retained its neighbourhood character.
