Located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, the University of New South Wales is located near the business hub of Australia's largest city, providing easy access to a wide range of academic, cultural and social activities. The main campus of 38 acres is located at Kensington, an inner south-eastern suburb of Sydney, close to both the beach and Centennial Park.

Academic Information
A full course load at UNSW is 24 Units of Credit (UoC). Most courses are 6 UNSW credits.
Credit Equivalency
4 UNSW courses (6 UoC each) = 5 SSB courses (15 credits)
*6 UNSW credits = 42 in-class teaching hours

Computer Facilities
The University provides some on-campus access to generic information technology resources for those that do not have access to computers. The Library provides some public free internet/email workstations and many schools provide laboratories for project related activities.
Type/Availability of Accommodation
The majority of exchange students stay in private shared accommodation in the suburbs surrounding the university. This type of accommodation varies considerably in style, standard and cost. UNSW does provide assistance with on- and off-campus housing.
Health Insurance
Health Insurance is mandatory for all exchange students. Exchange students are required to purchase Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) before their departure
