Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Manila - Philippines
The Asian Institute of Management offers a unique Asian approach to developing professional managers. Students are continually exposed to relevant situations drawn from the experiences of organizations in Asia through case method learning and hands-on field preparation. AIM also designs customized programs tailored to the special needs of organizations. In-house training and consultants are organized for specific areas of management, or for particular industries and sectors in the Asian business and development community region-wide. The curriculum is designed to enhance managerial capabilities, and to address the challenges of a global environment.

The monthly fee for a dormitory space is about US$ 300. Off campus accommodation such as pension houses, apartments and studio-type rooms are available and are within walking distance to AIM. Off-campus accommodations usually range between $200-400 US/month.
Health Insurance
All exchange students must have the necessary health insurance before participating in the exchange term.
Visa
Students have to apply for a Special Non-immigrant 47(A)2 visa at the Philippine Embassy in Canada. This visa allows students to stay in the Philippines for as long as they are enrolled in the AIM. However, if you stay more than 59 days, you are required to obtain an Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR). This can be obtained once you are in Manila. Banking
It is advisable to have cash or travelers’ cheques in US dollar currency. AMEX travelers’ cheques usually have a 1% charge per transaction while Visa travelers’ cheques do not have a charge. CIRRUS, INTERACT and other ATM machines are accessible. Most banks require a minimum balance of $500 to $1000 US for bank accounts and hold all traveler cheque deposits for approximately 45 days. Thus, it is not advisable to open a bank account for a short stay. An alternative is to get the money wired, costing only as much as the bank charges in your country.
