TO BE COMPLETED BY FACULTY:
The submission of the application is the first stage of evaluation that must be completed to be selected for an exchange study term. Subsequent stages may include interviews, presentations, and/or group activities. Specific details will be explained by the Exchange Selection Committee at the Exchange Information Sessions.
FEES All Schulich students on exchange pay regular Schulich tuition fees to York University. Since students continue to be registered at an Ontario university during the Study Abroad term, they are still eligible to apply for financial support.
There is a Travel Bursary available which allows you to be reimbursed for the cost of airfare after the completion of the program. See the section Post-Exchange Requirements for the application.
PRE-DEPARTURE INFORMATION & FORMS Prior to the student’s exchange term abroad, students are required to attend a pre-departure session. Students will also be required to make an appointment with the Undergraduate International Program Coordinator prior to their departure for approval of their study plan and to submit the following pre-departure forms:
POST-ARRIVAL After arriving at your host institution, please send confirmation of your courses to the Undergraduate International Program Coordinator. Any changes to your course enrolment while on exchange must be approved in order to count for Schulich credit.
POST-EXCHANGE REQUIREMENTS EXCHANGE REPORT: Reports about our partner schools serve as an important source of information for potential outgoing exchange students in regards to the various exchange programs available to Schulich students. As a result, students are required to submit an Exchange Report within one month of the completion of their exchange term by e-mail to the Undergraduate International Program Coordinator. Students may also suggest other formats for their exchange report. Suggestions of alternate formats must be approved by the Undergraduate International Program Coordinator.
TRAVEL BURSARY: Once you return from your exchange term(s), you may apply for a Travel Bursary. The Travel Bursary provides reimbursement for airplane travel only and is based on financial need. Bursaries are not automatic. The deadline for you to apply for this bursary is within three weeks of the end of your study term. You cannot apply for this bursary until you return. For more information, please contact Schulich Financial Aid Officer.
