BENEFITS OF STUDY ABROAD Studying abroad allows students to gain exposure to another country's culture and perspective on doing business, including insight into its social, political and legal methods and environments. Through the school's extensive academic exchanges, Schulich students have rich and exciting opportunities to build on the knowledge of the international aspects of business they gain in their required foundation courses.
The school has worked to develop exchange partnerships with more than 70 leading management education schools around the world to offer a unique international academic experience to complement studies at Schulich. Moreover, studying abroad offers students experiential learning in cross-cultural communications, the opportunity to build a global network and the possibility to create future international career opportunities.
An Exchange Fair is held at Schulich in early October where current exchange students and Schulich students who have returned from exchange showcase Schulich’s exchange partner schools. Information sessions on the exchange application process and experience follow later in the Fall term (early in the Winter term for MBA students starting their program in January). Read on to learn more about studying abroad at Schulich’s exchange partner schools. Also visit the Resource Library located in the International Relations Office (Room W263).

AFFILIATIONS The Schulich School of Business belongs to the following exchange networks/consortiums:
Partnership in International Management (PIM) is an international consortium of business schools that was founded in 1973. Each member institution represents the highest degree of excellence in the fields of business administration and management, demonstrates leadership in their geographic region and delivers an MBA or graduate-equivalent degree in management. PIM facilitates the international exchange of MBA or masters degree-equivalent students among its member institutions, encourages the development of joint ventures and cooperation among faculty members and researchers.
Pacific Asian Consortium for International Business Education and Research (PACIBER) was created in 1988 as a consortium of 27 leading universities dedicated to bridging the gap by establishing linkages to promote international business education, research and exchange of information among faculty and students. PACIBER stands as a forum for the exchange of ideas where members can network and learn from one another. Through faculty exchanges and other mutually beneficial alliances, member universities can raise the level of their business education programs to world class standards.
Schulich students may apply for a PACIBER diploma if they meet the diploma requirements. These requirements include studying at one of the PACIBER schools through the Schulich Exchange Program, language proficiency in one of the PACIBER Asian languages, and working an internship in the country of a PACIBER partner school.
